Taylor Munro Energy Systems Inc. has been operating since May 1995. The company focuses on design and installation of solar water heating systems for residential and commercial applications. Using computer-modeling tools, Taylor Munro has full capabilities to design custom systems, and to predict performance in virtually any climate around the world.
Systems can be either designed on a stand-alone basis, or to work in conjunction with an auxiliary heater. Taylor Munro works with a variety of solar heating technologies - unglazed collectors, glazed collectors, evacuated tube collectors, and batch heaters - and uses the most suitable for the application.
Taylor Munro has received product endorsement and marketing support from the BC Hydro Powersmart program. In addition, as an authorized BC Gas Homeworks merchant, retail financing for residential systems can be offered to customers.
Taylor Munro is a leader in the trading of greenhouse gas offsets from solar heating projects, and recently posted a Matched Trade with the GERT process.
The company also provides consulting services and has completed a number of studies for Natural Resources Canada. Other clients include engineering and architectural firms in B.C. and the Yukon, the BC Buildings Corporation, and the City of Toronto. The firm always strives to keep abreast of industry-relevant activities by attending a spectrum of conventions, and participating in a variety of advisory roles.
